Intertops Poker Hosts New Satellites for EPC Velden Austria

EPC Velden AustriaThe 2019 European Poker Championship takes place in Austria next month and Intertops Poker wants to send players there via satellites that begin June 5.

Up for grabs is a $6,500 prize package that includes five nights of lodging for two people at a swanky hotel near the casino, the Main Event buy-in of €2,700, and another $500 kicked in for expenses. The prize package winner and a guest will also enjoy a Welcome Dinner with representatives from Intertops Poker shortly upon arriving in Velden am Wörthersee.

That arrival date will be prior to the Main Event that’s scheduled to run from July 24-27. While the Main Event is the featured attraction, there will be plenty of other tournaments and cash games to play in.

There will be lots to do away from the poker tables as well. Velden has outstanding scenery and is a hotspot for nightlife, ranking high on the list of favorite destinations of poker players from Europe.

Satellite Schedule

The online satellites begin Wednesday, June 5 at Intertops Poker (review) starting at the very inexpensive price of $3.30 for Step 1 action. There are four daily Step 1s each set six hours apart and scheduled for 8:10 a.m., 2:10 p.m., 8:10 p.m., and 2:10 a.m. ET.

Step 1 winners will advance to Step 2 that features three daily tournaments each played at 8-hour intervals and set for 3:05 p.m., 11:05 p.m., and 7:05 a.m. ET. Of course, players may buy-in to Step 2 directly for $10+$1.

Players who fail to make it to the final via the Step 1 and Step 2 routes have one more opportunity in the Last Chance Wild West Satellites that take place on one day only – Sunday, June 9th at 5:05 a.m., 8:05 a.m., and 10:05 a.m. ET for the low, low buy-in of $2.20.

The Final that will award the $6,500 prize package will take place on Sunday, June 9 at 3:10 p.m. The direct buy-in is $100+$10.

12 Days of Poker

As is evident, there are just a few days of satellites before culminating in the Final next weekend so players who’d like to take a shot at the EPC Velden prize package need to snap to it starting the middle of this week. It seems worth a try at such modest satellite buy-ins.

It’s a short series this time, stated the poker manager at Intertops. We’ll award the ($6,500) prize package on Sunday (June 9) following the Final.

This year marks the 30th edition of the EPC. The 2018 version set a new record by playing host to more than 15,000 folks who came from 30 different countries to enjoy 12 days of exciting poker action. Players attending in July can expect over three dozen poker tables filled with cash game and tourney players.

The entire 2019 European Poker Championship will be held from July 17-28. The tournament prize money is estimated to be about $770,000, with lots more money available to be won in cash games. Will you be there to play?
