Party Poker is running a great Las Vegas Poker Party promotion which – if you win – gives you the option of staying at home and keeping the money.
If you have been looking at the opportunities to qualify for an event at the World Series of Poker this summer, Party Poker´s Las Vegas Poker Party is one opportunity you really should not miss. The promotion consists of a six-stage, steps-style qualification process that culminates in a weekly final with a minimum of ten $12,000 packages up for grabs.
Like many Party Poker steps-style qualifiers, bottom level entry starts at just $0.01. However, what makes this promotion so great is that there are plenty of opportunities for value throughout the qualification process; and, if you win one of the top prizes, you do not even have to go to Las Vegas. You can stay at home and keep the money.
What is the Las Vegas Poker Party?
The Las Vegas Poker Party is a series of activities hosted by Party Poker from 7th July to 14th July. Participation in the activities is free for players who have finished in the top ten places in a Las Vegas Poker Party Final; although attending all of them may be difficult if you are intending to enjoy a deep run in the WSOP Main Event.
The fun starts with a Welcome Party at a Las Vegas nightclub the evening before Day 1A of the Main Event and continues with a massive pool party just as Day 1B gets underway. The activities take a break on Monday, and resume on Tuesday with a full day of golf. There is a further break on Wednesday followed by an excursion to the Grand Canyon on Thursday.
To both play in the WSOP Main Event and take part in the activities, you would have to enter Day 1C (Monday) and play in Day 2C on Wednesday. If you make it through to Day 3 (Thursday), you would have to miss the excursion to the Grand Canyon, but – at that point – we do not think you would care too much about missing the trip compared to the opportunity to progress in the Main Event.
How to Qualify from Just $0.01
As mentioned above, the Las Vegas Poker Party promotion has a six-stage qualification process that can be joined at any of the six stages by buying-in directly, rather than having to qualify through each of the stages. There are three special Las Vegas Poker Party “Centrolls” each day (buy-in $0.01), feeding into three daily Micro Feeders (buy-in $1.10).
The Centrolls, Micro Feeders and $5.50 buy-in Mini feeders are all 6-Max hyper-turbo qualifiers that offer a variable number of seats in the next stage, depending on the time of day. For example, the 5:00pm Mini Feeder guarantees ten seats into Stage 4, whereas the 2:00pm and 8:00pm games only guarantee five seats (all times GMT).
There are six Stage 4 Feeder qualifiers played each day at Party Poker between 3:00pm and 10:15pm. These can be bought into directly for $22.00 and offer a variable number of guaranteed seats into the Semi-Finals stage. The best game we found to get involved in was the 6:00pm game as it guarantees a minimum of ten seats into the Semi-Finals.
The $109.00 buy-in Semi-Finals get underway at 5:00pm, 8:00pm and 11:00pm each day. They last for three hours (18 x 10-minute levels) and, at the end of the three hours, every surviving player takes their chip stack forward to the Las Vegas Poker Party Final. The average chip stack at the start of the Final will be 300,000 chips; so, if you have fewer than the average, it might be worthwhile trying again.
The cards are in the air for Las Vegas Poker Party Final each Sunday at 8:00pm. Players who skip the qualification stages and buy-in directly for $1,050 will be given a starting stack of 300,000 chips – equivalent to 100BBs. The game continues until just ten players remain, all of whom will win $12,000 towards their WSOP Main Event buy-in and travel expenses to Las Vegas in July.
Or Stay at Home and Keep the Money
As the $12,000 prize is paid in cash into players´ accounts, you have the option of travelling to the World Series of Poker and enjoying the activities in the Las Vegas Poker Party, or staying at home and keeping the money. Unlike some online poker promotions, Party Poker is not demanding that players turn up, patched up, and play on a certain day – and this is why we feel this promotion is so great.
Another promotion we feel is great is our first deposit bonus at Party Poker. Our exclusive bonus offers players a 100% match on their first deposits up to $500.00. This bonus offer is not available directly from Party Poker and, in order to be eligible for the bonus, you have to use the Party Poker bonus code “THPOBONUS” when making your first deposit.
More information about the bonus – and the other great promotions you can expect to find at the site – can be found in our PartyPoker review; and whether or not your goal is to play in the World Series of Poker this summer, you really should check out Party Poker. It is the only online poker site we have found this year that will pay you to stay at home!
