If you live outside of the UK, you can take advantage of Everest Poker´s latest promotion offering packages to the £250,000 guaranteed GUKPT Goliath.
This year´s £250,000 guaranteed GUKPT Goliath is being held at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry from Saturday 8th August to Sunday 16th August, and you can be there courtesy of Everest Poker – provided you live outside of the UK.
Last year´s record-breaking event saw 3,394 players from all over Europe descend on Coventry for a week of exciting Main Event action which culminated in Ryan Foster winning £62,120 (approx. €87,750) for his £120.00 buy-in.
Organizers are expecting up to 4,000 players for this year´s event and, throughout July, Everest Poker will be trying their hardest to qualify players through their daily “Goliath Finals” – for which players can qualify from as little as €1.10.
Everest Poker´s Goliath Promotion
Each day throughout July, Everest Poker is hosting a “Goliath Final” event at 8:30pm GMT. The tournament has a buy-in of €55.00 and guarantees a minimum of one package to the GUKPT Goliath, which includes the buy-in and €330 towards travel and accommodation expenses.
A comprehensive satellite schedule is running alongside the promotion which includes re-buy and add-on qualifiers at 6:00pm, 7:00pm and 8:00pm (buy-in €1.10), freezeout satellites every half an hour from 5.15pm (buy-in €5.50) and on demand Sit & Go games with a buy-in of €11.00.
One seat in the nightly Goliath Final is guaranteed in every re-buy and add-on qualifier, while the freezeout qualifier and the Sit & Go games each guarantee two seats to the target event. We imagine that there will be plenty of value around in both the re-buy/add-on and the freezeout satellites (all times are GMT).
The Schedule for the GUKPT Goliath
The sensational turnout for the GUKPT Goliath is due to it having seven opening flights. This year those flights will get underway at 12:00 noon from Saturday August 8th to Friday August 14th. Each player starts with 50,000 chips and levels last forty minutes.
Players can re-enter a maximum of twice every day before the end of Level 6, or play as many opening flights as they wish – although players do not get the option of forfeiting a small stack to try to get a bigger one the following day!
Every player who progresses out of the seven opening flights will reconvene at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday August 15th for Day 2, and the final day of the event takes place on Sunday August 16th – when levels increase to sixty minutes.
An excellent side-event program is scheduled to compliment the Goliath, and the venue will remain open all through the night to provide cash game action for players who cannot get enough of their GUKPT experience.
Could You be a Goliath Champion?
If you fancy a crack at being a Goliath Champion – and you live outside the UK where this promotion is not available – you could do worse than qualify for the event at Everest Poker. If you are not already playing at the site, Everest Poker offers new players an exception first deposit bonus of 200% up to €1,500 that has a weighted clearing structure to put funds in your account quicker (you can read all about the bonus and the clearing requirements in our Everest Poker review).
Furthermore, the site provides a route for players to build a bankroll from scratch through its “Shasta” Sit & Go promotion. Imagine winning enough to play in the “Goliath Final”, winning your seat to the GUKPT Goliath and taking down a first prize in excess of £60,000! That would be champion!
