Americas Cardroom gets Long-Awaited Upgrade

Posted on by Roy Smith

Americas CardroomPlayers logging into their Americas Cardroom account yesterday were greeted with a pleasant surprise, as the site has undergone a major software upgrade.

Imminent improvements to the Americas Cardroom software had hardly been a well-kept secret – indeed, players on the site have been begging for a better poker experience for ages – but the exact nature of the upgrade was unknown until players had the opportunity to log back into their accounts after a period of “scheduled maintenance”.

What they found was a completely new online poker platform, on which the previous “chunkiness” of the software had been replaced by easier navigation and smooth game play; with a number of additional features also included which, according to Americas Cardroom spokesperson Michael Harris “fulfills virtually every request we’ve received.”

Traffic Flourishes as the Word is Spread

The immediate reaction of players was exceptionally positive – with one poster on the 2+2 forums comparing the new Americas Poker software to a mix of the online poker software available on Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars – and as word of the upgrade got around, hundreds of players logged into their Americas Cardroom accounts to experience the new software for themselves.

In addition to the changes made to the lobbies and the action at the tables, players found that they could now find their preferred tables faster due to a new ring game filter, that enhancements to the sit-out facility allowed them to sit-out at all tables simultaneously and that changes to the statuses of tournaments enabled players to locate the events in which there was added-value to be gained (for example, the hourly $1.00 buy-in satellites guaranteeing one seat to the $100,000 tournament scheduled for August 11th!).

Americas Cardroom Continues to Improve

At one point the traffic-monitoring website PokerScout recorded 656 cash game players on the site – 30% higher than normal for a Wednesday evening, just 128 fewer than were playing on the Merge Gaming Network and 244 fewer than were recorded on the Revolution Network (the second and third biggest online poker networks that accept players from the USA). However, the upgrade to Americas Cardroom software is just the latest benefit to players wanting to play Texas Holdem Poker online at the US friendly poker site.

Already Americas Cardroom has developed a reputation for being the quickest processor of payouts for players in the States and one of the most active in eliminating collusion between players at the tables. The site also relies on the popular “dealt rake” method of distributing bonus points for its “Elite Benefits” reward program and for players aiming to clear the Americas Cardroom poker bonus.

With this latest software upgrade, Americas Cardroom intends to attract back players who have used the site before – but who were (understandably) not too keen on the previous software – and a whole host of new players. Players with experience of the new software might have a slight edge over those coming back to the site, so get over to Americas Cardroom today and check out the new software upgrade for yourself.
