ACR to Host $100,000 Guaranteed TournamentFollowing the success of their recent Online Super Series, Americas Card Room has announced that it will host a $100,000 guaranteed tournament this coming Sunday

Americas Card Room has announced that this coming Sunday – April 13th – the site will be doubling the value of its regular Sunday feature event and increasing the guarantee from $50,000 to $100,000 for the same $215.00 buy-in.

Prior to the recent Online Super Series III, the Sunday feature tournament  had been busting its guarantee by a wide margin and, as the popularity of the site continues to grow, the ultimate aim is to keep the $100,000 guarantee as a permanent fixture.

No decision has yet been made as to when a permanent change will occur, and quite possibly the scheduling of this particular $100,000 guaranteed poker tournament is intended to test the water for a permanent increase in the guarantee after Easter.

Tournament Details and Satellite Qualifiers Announced

The cards for Americas Card Room´s $100,000 guaranteed tournament will be in the air at 7.00pm (ET) with late registration available for twelve levels of play (3 hours). The tournament has unlimited re-entries available, but players start with 10,000 chips and there is a gentle blinds structure.

A comprehensive satellite schedule for Sunday´s $100,000 tournament is already running, with a qualifying route starting from as little as $1.00 and a nightly $24.00 buy-in tournament hosted at 6.00pm (ET) with two seats guaranteed for the target event. “On Demand” tournaments with a $13.20 buy-in are also running in the Sit n Go lobby.

OSS III Main Event Won by Common Joe Jug

Last weekend saw the conclusion of the Online Super Series III – the Winning Poker Network´s primary online tournament series. Highlight of the series was Sunday´s $200,000 guaranteed Main Event, which was won by “Common-Joe-Jug” after thirteen hours of play and after the event fell just one player short of making its guarantee.

Common-Joe-Jug´s Main Event victory (for $38,200) only gave him sufficient points to finish thirty-third on the hotly-contested OSS III leaderboard – a competition convincingly won by ever-present “sandymar”, who took down Event #46, final tabled three others and cashed in at least fifteen other tournaments, including the Main Event and High Roller.

Win Packages to Sponsored Live Events This Weekend

Sandymar´s “Player of the Series” prize is an all-expenses trip to the Punta Cana Poker Classic in November which includes an entry to the $500,000 guaranteed Main Event, six nights accommodation at the Hard Rock Hotel, all the food and drink he (or she) wants and $800.00 cash towards flights and travel expenses.

However, before the Punta Cana event, Americas Card Room will be sponsoring the million dollar guaranteed LSOP II at the Majestic Casino in Panama, and packages for that event are also up for grabs in two qualifiers with $55.00 buy-ins taking place this Sunday at 6.00pm (ET – five packages guaranteed) and 8.30pm (ET – two packages guaranteed).
