888poker $100K GTD Daily Big Fish Series Geared Toward Casual Players

Posted on by Roy Smith

888 - Big Fish Tournaments888poker listened to requests from their loyal players and adjusted their MTT schedule accordingly, rolling out a $100,000 guaranteed Daily Big Fish Series that features low buy-ins and high guarantees, giving online players the opportunity to win big money while risking minimum amounts of cash.

The Big Fish tournaments have been running since May 3 and consist of six daily events with buy-ins ranging from as little as $5.50 on up to $33. Big Fish action begins at 2:00 p.m. CET daily and the event starting times are staggered on through the evening with the last of the six tourneys scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m. CET.

Of course, the prize pools for the half-dozen tourneys equal a combined $100K. Players who love non-stop poker tournament action could play all six while dishing out only $110 in entry fees. Such an undertaking would likely mean eight hours or more of online poker depending on how deep you would run in the final events of the day.

Moorman Is No Big Fish

888poker ambassador Chris Moorman, the most successful online poker tournament player in history with over $14 million in winnings, gave a thumbs up to 888poker’s new daily MTT offerings.

The new Big Fish series is a great way for tournament players to win big via a low buy-in, Moorman said. These are well-structured tournaments with low risk but high reward payouts.

The Daily Big Fish $100K GTD gets underway with a $5.50 buy-in and $5,000 GTD at 2:00 p.m. At 3:30 p.m., players will pay an entry fee of $33 and aim for $15,000 in prize money. Two hours later, another $5.50 Big Fish buy-in gets started with at least $15K to be paid out to winners.

The latter three daily Big Fish events will see virtual cards in the air at 6:00 p.m. under a $16.50 buy-in and $20K GTD; the largest guarantee of the day at $35,000 is next at 6:30 p.m.and will cost $33 to enter; and finally, the last event is a $16.50 Big Fish that gets underway at 8:30 p.m. and promises $10,000 in prize money.

Satellites Galore

There are plenty of satellites available at 888poker for players who like to win their way into tournaments at a fraction of the normal buy-in. That goes for the Big Fish Series as well as other events such as a new XL Inferno Series that kicks off on May 10 and will run through May 20.

This is the second edition of XL Inferno and it features 34 tournaments that includes a $1,000,000 guaranteed Main Event. Most of the buy-ins for XL Inferno are a bit on the pricey side, but there are exceptions at $5, $12 and $30.

It is not known how long the Big Fish Series will run, with most reports stating that the daily festival’s duration will be limited. The best bet is to get in on the Big Fish games while the getting is good considering those hefty guarantees in comparison to the low buy-ins.
