888 Poker Running Free to Enter XL Eclipse Qualifiers

888Poker's XL EclipseThe forthcoming XL Eclipse will be 888 Poker´s most valuable tournament series yet, and players have the opportunity to qualify for key events for free.

888 Poker recently announced its two week long XL Eclipse tournament series will start on Sunday September 10th. Although the full schedule has not yet been released, the series will have guaranteed prize pools totaling $8 million – double the equivalent Super XL series last September – and feature a $1,050 buy-in Main Event with a guaranteed prize pool of $1.5 million.

Prior to the start of the XL Eclipse series, 888 Poker is giving players the opportunity to qualify for the Main Event and two other key events for free in a special XL Eclipse Qualifiers promotion. The total value of the XL Eclipse Qualifiers promotion is more than $200,000, so it is well worth participating in, and could result in you winning a life-changing amount.

How the XL Eclipse Qualifiers Promotion Works

Existing players with real money accounts at 888 Poker should receive an email from the site containing a link that will award two entry tickets to special XL Eclipse Qualifiers. If you haven´t received your email yet, check your spam box or open up the 888 Poker client and click on the link in the pop up box that appears as soon as you log in. Then you can choose which of the following qualifiers to play in:

  • At 1:30 p.m. each day (all times GMT), there is a free to enter qualifier for the XL Eclipse Mini Opening Event. The top thirty players in each Mini Opening Event qualifier will win an entry ticket worth $12.00.
  • At 4:30 p.m., the free to enter qualifier will award ten seats into the XL Eclipse Opening Event. Each seat is worth $160.00, and the Opening Event is guaranteed for $300,000, so definitely a qualifier not to miss.
  • At 7:30 p.m., players have an opportunity to qualify free of charge for the XL Eclipse Main Event. Only three seats are awarded in the XL Eclipse Main Event Qualifier, but every qualifier to date has been packed.

If don´t succeed in qualifying for the key events with your first two entry tickets, you can win extra entry tickets by completing personalized challenges that will appear in the poker client. If you have looked for your challenge and can´t find it yet, this may be because you have to have already played in one of the qualifiers before being eligible to complete the challenges.

You also have to have played in one of the qualifiers before being eligible to play the XL Eclipse Wheel game – a click-and-spin pop-up that appears as soon as you log into your 888 Poker account each day. The XL Eclipse Wheel game has multiple prizes, including entry tickets for free to enter XL Celebration Tournaments that are played each day at 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. and each have a $1,000 prize pool.

New Players Should be Beware of XL Eclipse Offer

New players – and existing players at 888 Poker who have not yet funded their accounts – are being offered the opportunity to participate in the XL Eclipse Qualifiers promotion by making a first real money deposit of $10.00 or more and using the 888 Poker bonus code “ECLIPSE10”. By using this code, new players will receive three entry tickets into the XL Eclipse qualifiers.

However in the terms and conditions of this offer it states that, by taking advantage of the “ECLIPSE10” bonus code, new players and first-time depositors will lose their entitlement to the 888 Poker Welcome Package. As this includes a 100% bonus on first deposits up to $600 (if you use our links), taking advantage of the XL Eclipse Offer for new players may not be a good idea.

We recommend registering for a new account via our links in order to take advantage of 888 Poker´s no deposit bonus of up to $88.00 (varies according to your location). Then make your first deposit without using any bonus code in order to take advantage of the 100% first deposit bonus. And then click refresh on your email inbox to see how long it takes 888 Poker to send you details of the XL Eclipse qualifiers.
